My stay at 101 Hotel was a mixed bag. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore shops and restaurants. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, making me feel welcome. However, I found the room to be quite small compared to other places I've stayed, and the noise from the nightlife made it challenging to get a good night's sleep. Overall, I enjoyed the artistic vibe of the hotel, but I wish there were some improvements in sound insulation.

Rooms
7.0
My room was nicely laid out but quite small, and I experienced some noise from the hallway and nearby nightlife. The bed, however, was very comfortable, contributing to a decent rest despite the noise.

The staff was tremendously helpful with local recommendations and always greeted me with a smile. They made an effort to accommodate my needs, which I really appreciated.
Location

The hotel's location is absolutely perfect, surrounded by bars, bistros, and shops. It made it incredibly easy to explore Reykjavik's vibrant scene on foot.
Dining

I didn't dine at the hotel except for breakfast, which was pleasant enough, but not particularly nice. Given the Icelandic dining scene, I preferred exploring local eateries.
Facilities

The hotel's modern amenities were a plus, but the limited parking options made it a bit tricky for my car. The facilities were clean and well-maintained throughout my stay.

My stay at 101 Hotel was a mixed experience. While I appreciated the modern design and the cleanliness of the facility, I found the room amenities lacking, particularly with the poor placement of electrical outlets. The location is fantastic for exploring Reykjavik, but the staff’s service varied too much for my liking, making it feel inconsistent.

6.2/10

I had a blend of experiences during my stay at 101 Hotel. The central location was ideal for exploring Reykjavik, and I found the design of the hotel quite appealing. However, the noise levels from nearby nightlife and the lack of soundproofing dampened my experience significantly. While the staff were friendly, I encountered some service hiccups that made my stay feel a bit more stressful than anticipated.

Rooms

The rooms were stylish but lacked essential features. I found the bathrooms poorly designed, with no doors separating them from the bedroom, and storage was limited to a small hanging rail. I also noticed significant noise traveling from the street and other rooms.
Service
6.0
The staff were generally friendly and helpful, but I felt that some interactions at the front desk could have been warmer. I was left wanting a bit more attention, especially during check-in when I felt dismissed by the staff.
Location
8.0
The location was absolutely fantastic.walking distance to attractions and restaurants made my sightseeing very convenient. However, the proximity to nightlife comes with a price, as I experienced persistent noise throughout the night.
Dining
6.0
The dining options were decent but a bit limited. While I appreciated the available breakfast selection and complimentary water, the lack of variety and some overpriced amenities was disappointing.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel offered some nice amenities, including a small gym and spa, which were enjoyable. However, I found the restaurant's service and offerings to be lacking, which affected my overall experience.

I had a generally enjoyable stay at 101 Hotel, thanks to its fantastic location and friendly staff. The room was comfortable and stylish, but it lacked some essential amenities like coffee-making facilities and bedside outlets that would have made my mornings much easier. I did find the prices a bit steep for the value, especially considering some amenities were not available. Still, the overall experience was pleasant, with a beautiful view and a clean atmosphere.

The location was perfect for exploring Reykjavik, but the noise from nightlife was quite disruptive, especially late at night. Despite the mixed experiences with the staff, the overall ambiance made it a nice visit.
